Mission Statement

Every Pastor – A Mission Leader
Every Church – A Missional Outpost
Every Christian – A Missionary

Welcome to the Alaska District Church of the Nazarene.

Our vision is to see every individual in Alaska find Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, walking in a “Life giving relationship with Jesus, finding hope, healing and help for everyday life here in the last frontier. “Alaska for Jesus, Every Heart & Home, Every Congregation & Community, No One Left Behind!!”

John 14:6 reminds us Jesus is “…the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him…” NIV.

Our Pastors and Leaders across Alaska are extremely interested in helping you in this Journey called life, with all its challenges, ups and downs, victories, and defeats, through it all the one of the unchanging realities we can rely on is the love that Jesus has for each of us. Probably the most familiar Bible passage of all time reminds us of His love – “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” NLT.

We would love to have you check out the Church of the Nazarene, many of our 29 churches have on-line services, as well as community in person services. We believe in ministering in the name of Christ to those who need hope, help and healing. Our District Compassionate Ministry Centers: “New Hope on the Last Frontier” in Anchorage and “Frontline Mission” in Wasilla, our helping weekly to feed the hungry in body and spirit. We also serve the state of Alaska through our Camping Ministry at “Camp Maranatha” just outside Big Lake, Alaska.
