Lifelong Learning Registry

529.6

[a pastor] will continue a pattern of lifelong learning to enhance the ministry to which God has called him or her. A minimum expectation is 20 hours of lifelong learning each year…. All assigned and unassigned licensed and ordained ministers shall report on their progress in a program of lifelong learning as part of their report to the district assembly.

How to Report Lifelong Learning Hours

Lifelong learning hours are to be reported on the Lifelong Learning Registry. The registry is a mobile-friendly, multilingual tool providing Nazarene ministers the opportunity to record and report their efforts to develop and maintain a pattern of lifelong learning to enhance the ministry to which God has called them.

Lifelong Learning Resources

The Lifelong Learning Registry is designed to empower Nazarene clergy to self-select and self-report your participation in lifelong learning and is built on the assumption of your integrity and desire to serve effectively.

There are many opportunities for lifelong learning. It is best to focus on what you need to enhance your ministry and yourself as a minister. Look for opportunities that push you into a new area of learning and requires that you wrestle with new ideas or gain new skills. Then, select opportunities that connect with all four areas of development: Content, Competency, Context and Character.
